We're Here!

We are in San Diego after a long, hard day of travel. (More on THAT later!)

Just wanted to give a short update that we did arrive safely. After finally arriving, we took off exploring. We headed down to the convention center and were happy to find that John won't have to walk too far for work.

At the convention center:

Then we looked at things around the area including the plants at the convention center and the sailboats docked nearby. We walked all the way up to Balboa Park and looked around and then headed back to the Gaslamp District for dinner. We ate at the Star of India Restaurant, where I can earn SkyMiles for dining. I'm happy to report that John enjoyed his first experience at an Indian Restaurant! I wasn't blown away by the food, but it was still pretty satisfying. We haven't adjusted to the time change yet; we went to bed at around 10:30 and started waking up at 5:30 this morning. We'll get it eventually. At least it won't be difficult for us to get up early when we need to.
